I am a 5th generation descendant of one of the families that founded Neve Tzedek, the first Jewish neighborhood outside of Jaffa.
The stories of the first days of Tel Aviv have been told and re-told in my family for the past 105 years.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in The History and Geography of Israel as well as Business Administration.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and making sure that my visitors get to see the highlights of each place; this ensures that we will get to enjoy our time together everywhere we go. I have been guiding in Israel and entertaining visitors from all over the world, touring the sites and discovering the history of the land of Israel - the Holy Land.
I was born in Tel Aviv of 1957, into a family with routs that reach deep into the heart of Israeli history. I am a certificated tour guide, including a license for "Eshkol" – drive for hire. I guide in Israel in English and Hebrew.
Before I became a tour guide, I held different positions in Israeli companies dealing with management, import and purchase.
I now work as a guide in Israel because of my love to the country and its heritage. I have been exploring this country from Dan, far up north to Eilat in the south since my childhood, and so my hobby and love became my profession. I love working with visitors of all ages and groups of all sizes, and can adapt any tour to the specific needs or interests of my guests.
Naturally, the most-requested tours are those of Jaffa, Jerusalem, The Dead Sea and Galilee but I can offer my clients much deeper encounters with the past, present and maybe even the future of Israel.
I am open to discuss all options in order to help you carry out your dream.
I guide Delegations, Privet tours, outdoor activities, 4x4 tours and wine tours. Often in Israel it's all about culture and society: Jews, Muslims and Christians on the one hand, and understanding other minorities on the other hand.
I guide and help with family events like weddings and bar mitzvahs. I guide in the Negev and Eilat, and even Jordan is an option. This ensures that you'll get to maximize your time and enjoy it to the fullest everywhere we go.
There are many different ways to travel: One can walk, fly or drive and even travel by boat. Most of us do it daily without paying any attention to the view on the way: people, nature, culture and other things.
With me you will not just go from one place to the other, we will look at Israel from inside, trying constantly to ask questions, trying to learn and understand: Why have so many countries been involved here? How are trees for Africa growing here? Why are there so many minorities in Israel?
History, Geography. Architecture, Nature, Culture, Economics and Arts are just a partial list of the fields that I will share with you.
My private tour option includes a high class car to accommodate your needs and it, of course, fully insured. I can offer a variety of cars in any standards and size up to 15 passengers – just ask me for a special quotation for "Eshkol" services.

The best tour ever because of our guide! Gadi Chelouche
I took my 80 year old mother on a 6 day Israel Highlights trip. All 26 people on our tour repeatedly said how lucky we were to have Gadi as our Guide. He was top-notch in every way. Friendly, engaging and always attentive to our various needs. For example, it was quite hot and would remind us to drink water and wear a hat. He frequently showed us to bathroom facilities anywhere we were. I thought I left my sunglasses in the hotel we just left and he called them on the spot for me. It was my mom’s birthday and he offered to have a surprise cake for her at a lunch with all of us. He is a thoughtful person and I felt he wanted to make sure that each of us had the best tour possible. His communication skills are great. His experience and extremely keen knowledge of the area, historical events with dates and facts was invaluable to us. He was very pleasant and patient constantly answering our questions. He was helpful and thorough with every detail, even making sure that each person knew about their hotels, ride to the airport and plane flights when the tour was over. I highly recommend Gadi as a Tour Guide. If you are planning on visiting Israel, make sure you have Gadi as your guide as he is the best there is.

Amazing guide with incredible knowledge!!!”
Gadi Chelouche is an amazing tour guide! Very highly recommended! He is descended from one of the founding fathers of the city of Tel Aviv, so he has an incredibly deep knowledge of Israel. Although he is based in Tel Aviv, we actually did tours of Old and Modern Jerusalem with him. He is extremely well-versed on the facts and history of Israel, from ancient times until today. He has a respectful and thoughtful understanding of the opinions and viewpoints of many rival factions within Israel and of its historical opponents. He has an amazing grasp of the historical points of view of the religious Israelis, the secular Israelis, the left-wing, the right-wing, the Arabs, the Palestinians, the Jordanians, Saudis, Lebanese, British, French, Russian, Syrian, Iraqi, Iranian, and American interests in Israel. He never denigrates any rival factions and is respectful of all sides. He is not blinded by history or partisanship and is very honest in his explanations of the tumultuous history of the country. His English is very good and he has a dry sense of humor. Very highly recommended!!!!!!!
