I recently returned from a trip to Israel and want to share with ITN readers the name of an excellent guide. Miri Lowenberg is very knowledgeable of the history, politics and cultural aspects of this complex area. She also knows all the practical information such as where to eat, shop, and what hotels to book.
She has taken many Jewish and Christian and political groups throughout this land. She quickly tunes into your interests and helps you plan a trip around them. her English is excellent and her concern and energy level is unwavering.
This woman certainly made our family trip to Israel quite exceptional and this was our third visit.

I am writing to you in regard to Ms. Miri Lowenberg, Israel Tour Guide. We wanted to see Israel and learn about its history and Biblical times as well as current Israeli issues, principally relating to Israeli-Palestinian coexistence.
We had five different guides in five different locations. Miri was one of those guides. She was far and above the best of the five for the following reasons:

Miri is very deep and interested in people. She is able to figure out who her clients are and what might appeal to them. She understands what to focus on, and how best to communicate with different people.

Miri has excellent language skills, being fluent in English, and German as well as Hebrew and Arabic. At times this came in very handy for us.

Miri is exceptionally bright and knowledgeable about a broad range of subjects. Miri's knowledge of Jewish history, Bible, and Israeli history is very rich, and she is generous in sharing her information. She is a born teacher!

Miri is very up-to-date on Israeli history and Israeli current events and issues. She is able to easily talk about these, and tie them into the past when appropriate.

Miri is very kind and nurturing. She cares a lot about her clients. She loves her work, and she wants to do a good job. She gives her all when working with visitors.

Miri is very well connected across Israeli society and can arrange access off the beaten track when occasion permits.

Miri served as our guide for my last Israel trip in March, 07(my 11th). She is an outstanding guide, and each person enjoyed her very much. She shares a wealth of knowledge with us, especially as it relates to the Hebrew and Christian Scriptures. I personally appreciated the archaeological insights she shared at each Biblical site.
Most of all, Miri shared herself with us. Her individual attention she offered to each of my group members made them feel special and cared for. She is gifted in being able to personally relate to everyone, no matter their background or personality. Additionally, her heart for the land she loves so very much was displayed. As a result of our time with her, our love for Israel has increased in proportion.
