Drive past the slopes of the mountain to Samburu Game Park. Samburu National Reserve becoming one of Kenya’s most admired stops after the Mara which hosts the uncommon Gravy’s zebra, gerenuk antelope standing on hind legs to feed, Somali ostriches with distinct blue legs and the shy Oryx, Elephant and crocodile and bird life. A full day is spent viewing wildlife in the park. Traditional dancing is performed by Samburu tribesmen by the camp fire upon request. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

An early start through Samburu country where we can see the local people adorned in their striking red ochre clothing and bead-work decoration. We pass through the colorful town of Maralal and continue north through rugged country to Baragoi for dinner and overnight at our Private Tented Camp.

After breakfast, we continue past South Horr to the lake also known as the Jade Sea arriving in time for lunch at the camp. Afternoon at leisure

After breakfast we will have time to explore the shore of Lake Turkana. Lake is also known as the “Jade Sea” because of its remarkable blue – green color. This is a result of algae particles, which shift with changes of the wind and light, so that the water surface shifts from blue to grey to fabulous jade. The lake is home to the largest population of Nile crocodiles in the world. If the weather permits we take a short sunset boat ride to the surrounding areas. Dinner and overnight at the camp

We depart after breakfast via the Horr Valley situated between Mount Nyiro and Ol Doinye Mara viewing the breath taking scenery as we continue to climb on torturous, rocky hills to Maralal.

Near Maralal is one of the most breaths taking scenes in all of Kenya – the Losiolo escarpment, an endless stretch as land drops down to the Suguta valley. Maralal is the home of the Maralal International Camel Derby that happens once a year between July and October and attracts riders and spectators from the four corners of the world. After breakfast, we head south to Lake Baringo arriving in time for lunch at the camp. The lake Baringo is an ornithologist’s paradise since the lake houses over 450 species of birds including the largest of the heron species, called the Goliath heron.

Birds are attracted here because it is filled up with a variety of rare fish species. Hippos and crocodiles also find the ecosystem favorable along the shores of the lake. The rock hyrax is another animal that you cannot go without seeing. Also, nearby is a spectacular hot spring which attracts large numbers of visitors annually. All meals and overnight at the campsite

After breakfast, enjoy the splendor of a Boat ride as you view birds and hippos that inhabit this lake after which you will continue with your journey to Lake Nakuru arriving by mid-afternoon. Evening game drive before coming back to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay

You will rise up to an early breakfast, thereafter; take an extensive game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park coming back for lunch at the camp by midday. After a hot lunch, proceed to Nairobi arriving in the evening to your hotel or at the airport.
