Lake Nakuru National Park best known for its thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos nesting along the shores.

The Park has the largest Rhinoceros concentrations and predators like Lion, Cheetah and Leopard in Kenya. Lake Nakuru National Park is Kenya’s most visited Park and is located 160 Kilometers about 2½ hours from Nairobi.

The main gate is located 4 km’s from Nakuru town. Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned as a bird sanctuary with over 400 bird species, including huge flocks of flamingoes and many other water birds.

It is an excellent park for wildlife spotting and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks.

The Park also offers sanctuary to huge numbers of animals including waterbuck, warthog, impala, buffalo, Rothschild giraffe, eland, endangered black rhino, white rhino and leopard.

A large herd of hippos have a territory in the northern part of the lake, making for interesting game viewing.

Lake Nakuru National Park 3 Days 2 Nights Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Drive To Lake Nakuru National Park

0800 Hours: Today we travel to the exotic Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley, upon arrival proceed on a game-drive.

There are also a number of Rothschild’s giraffe. Among the predators are lions and leopards, the later being seen much more frequently in recent times.

The Park also has large sized python snakes that inhabit the dense woodlands, and can often be seen crossing the roads or dangling from trees.

1300 Hours: Lunch then relax as you enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Nakuru National Park.

1500 Hours: An exciting game run is planned for the afternoon. The game in this Park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant.

The Park is a home to stunning flocks of lesser and Greater Flamingos, which literally turn the lakeshores in to a magnificent pink stretch.

The bird life here is world renown and over 400 bird’s species exist here, White Pelicans, Plovers, Egrets and Marabou Stork.

It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the White Rhino and rare Rothschild Giraffe.

1830 Hours: Return to the lodge/ camp for overnight

Day 2: Full Day In Lake Nakuru National Park

0630 Hours: An early morning game drive before breakfast to try to find leopard which are frequently sighted in Lake Nakuru Park.

Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned as a bird sanctuary with over 400 bird species, including huge flocks of flamingoes and many other water birds.

It is an excellent park for wildlife spotting and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks.

0900 Hours: Return to the lodge for breakfast. Mid morning and afternoon at leisure, relaxing by the lodge swimming pool before an evening game drive in the park.

1530 Hours: You will take a further game drive to seek out the 2 species of rhino found in the park, returning before sunset.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Drive Back To Nairobi

0700 Hours: Enjoy breakfast at the Camp/ Lodge in Lake Nakuru.

0800 Hours: Depart for an optional Nature walk then later drive back to Nairobi.

1400 Hours: Arrive in Nairobi
