Day 1: Arrival Day
You will be picked up at the airport and transferred to the hotel at Bhaktapur.
Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing
Explore Thamel, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Swayambhunath Stupa.
Day 3: Bhaktapur sightseeing and drive to Nagarkot
Explore Bhaktapur temple squares and palaces and drive to Nagarkot. Relaxing and enjoying or explore some of the small villages and sights around Nagarkot.
Day 4: View Nagarkot sunrise and Kathmandu sightseeing
This morning we will travel before sunrise to the lookout tower in Nagarkot. From here we can watch the sunrise over the majestic Langtang Himalaya to the north. Then we drive back and explore the ancient city of Patan, Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath.
Day 5: Drive to Chitwan via Rafting on the Trishuli River
This morning we drive to Chitwan. We stop for a spot of rafting on the Trishuli river here. After rafting, we stop for a picnic lunch on the banks of the river. On arriving in Chitwan we can walk around the river bank, enjoy cold beverages and watch the sunset over the river. For dinner, we will enjoy traditional cuisine along with a cultural program featuring tribal dances unique to the ethnic groups of the Chitwan Region.
Day 6: Chitwan National Park Jungle safari
We start the day today with an early morning elephant safari through the jungle. Here we have the opportunity to spot rhino’s and much other wildlife while riding on elephant back through the jungle. During the day we can enjoy a bullock cart ride through a local village where we have the opportunity to observe traditional village life from close up. Later in the afternoon, we go for a canoe ride along the Rapti river. Here we can see a lot of bird life as well as crocodiles and other wildlife. Our canoe takes us to the elephant breeding centre where we can watch the elephants being fed and cared for at the end of the day.
Day 7: Drive to Lumbini
We head off to Lumbini today, Lumbini is the birthplace of Buddha and is a place of very important spiritual significance. On arrival in Lumbini, we have some time to visit the Lumbini Museum and learn a little about the history of the area.
Day 8: Lumbini Sightseeing
We have a full day of sightseeing in Lumbini today. Firstly we visit the Maya Devi Temple which is located at the birthplace of Buddha. We also visit the World Peace Pagoda, Ashoka Pillar, and the Myanmar Golden Temple.
Day 9: Drive to Pokhara
We leave Lumbini today and drive to Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful town on the banks of Phewa Lake. On arrival in Pokhara, we can stroll around the lakeside, shopping or just relax at one of the lakeside restaurants. Sunset is particularly beautiful from the lakeside.
Day 10: Pokhara sightseeing
We spend the day sightseeing in Pokhara today. We start with an early morning drive to Sarangkot for sunrise. We can watch the sun rising here as it lights up the snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna Range to the north. After sunrise, we have breakfast and exploring the area. Then we head back to Pokhara and explore the World Peace Pagoda and the boat ride on Phewa Lake.
Day 11: Trek to Dhampus
This morning we will drive to Phedi and trek to Dhampus. Dhampus is a lovely traditional village where we can observe the life of the locals. Dhampus has incredible views of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas with traditional houses ensuring picture postcard photos.
Day 12: Trek to Australian Camp
Today we leave Dhampus for the Australian Camp. This is located on a hilltop with incredible views of the surrounding countryside and of the Annapurna Himalaya. It’s a fairly easy walk through forest and hillside country.
Day 13: Hike to Kande and drive to Pokhara
This morning we have the opportunity to watch the sunrise from Australian Camp. It is a magical experience from here as the first light appears on the snow-capped peaks of Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South and many others. After breakfast, we have an hour trek to Kande where we are picked up by our vehicle which will take us back to Pokhara. In Pokhara, there is a chance for some more sightseeing, or a visit to one of the Tibetan refugee camps or relaxing by the lake.
Day 14: Drive back to Kathmandu:
After breakfast, we head back to Kathmandu. It’s a beautiful drive through lush hillside country filled with rice fields and villages along the way. We arrive in Kathmandu by mid-afternoon when you will have some time for relaxing, souvenir shopping or some more sightseeing.
Day 15: Departure Day
It’s time for your trip to end today. Our representative will escort you to the airport in time for your flight home.
