Short Summary - This short (4 – 5 hours) walking tour in Addis Ababa with a professional tour guide is ideal to get a deeper insight of the history, culture, and people of Ethiopia by visiting the Ethnological Museum which was the residence of Emperor Haile Sillassie I (now the main campus of Addis Ababa University), and see the fossil remains of Lucy (3.18 mil years old) at the National Museum of Ethiopia.

Itinerary - After meeting at your hotel in Addis Ababa or Addis Ababa Bole Int’l Airport, we drive to the Ethnological Museum for about an hour tour. Then, we walk for half an hour to the National Museum of Ethiopia.

On the way, attend a typical Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony at a local place by the Street side in Addis Ababa; continue walking to the Holy Trinity Cathedral. On your way, stop to visit the Yekatit 12 Monument and the Liberty Monument which were erected in relation to the Italian Occupation of Ethiopia between 1936 – 41.

At the most important religious site of Ethiopian Orthodox Christians in Addis Ababa - the Holy Trinity Cathedral, admire the unique architecture of the building, visit the beautiful stained glass windows, and see the graves of Emperor Haile Sillassie I and his wife.
